Bangkok: “Sophon” led MPs and Senators in a moment of silence to mourn the passing of Her Royal Highness Princess Bajrakitiyabha. Mr. Sophon Saram, President of the Parliament, chaired the joint parliamentary session. Before proceeding to the agenda, he announced the Royal Household Bureau’s announcement of the passing of Her Royal Highness Princess Bajrakitiyabha Narendira Debyavadi, Krom Luang Rajasarinisiripatchara Mahavajrarajathida. He then led the members of parliament in a moment of silence to mourn and commemorate the immeasurable kindness and grace of Her Royal Highness Princess Bajrakitiyabha Narendira Debyavadi, Krom Luang Rajasarinisiripatchara Mahavajrarajathida.
According to Thai News Agency, the joint parliamentary session today will urgently consider five protocols: 1. The acceptance of the Protocol amending the Marrakech Agreement establishing the World Trade Organization to incorporate the Agreement on Fisheries Subsidies; 2. The Free Trade Agreement between the Kingdom of Thailand and the European Free Trade Association; 3. The Second Protocol amending the ASEAN Agreement on Trade in Goods; 4. The Free Trade Agreement between the Kingdom of Thailand and the Kingdom of Bhutan; and 5. The Protocol to further enhance the Framework Agreement on Comprehensive Economic Cooperation and certain agreements under that Framework Agreement between the Member States of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations and the People’s Republic of China.
