Solo robbery of gold shop in the middle of a famous shopping mall in Chanthaburi

A man broke into a gold shop in Chanthaburi and stole a 1 baht gold ring alone before speeding away in a sedan. CCTV footage from a Yaowarat gold shop in a shopping mall in the middle of Chanthaburi captured a male robber, aged 35-38, wearing a mask to cover his face, with a pierced left ear, robbing him alone and stealing 1 baht of gold before driving away in a red sedan with a Chonburi license plate that had been abandoned in a parking lot behind the mall. The shop staff told the police that before the incident, the robber pretended to ask to see the gold and its weight to ask about the price. He then asked to see a hollow gold ring weighing about 1 baht, worth 40,000 baht. When he saw the opportunity, he tried the ring on his finger and threw a bag of sugar at the staff before running away to get in his car and driving away.
