Sihasak’s Diplomatic Engagement with Singaporean Prime Minister Focuses on Strategic Cooperation


Bangkok: Sihasak, Minister of Foreign Affairs, paid a courtesy call on the Prime Minister of Singapore to discuss promoting food security, energy, and fintech.



According to Thai News Agency, on October 22, Mr. Sihasak Phuangketkeow, Minister of Foreign Affairs, engaged in a diplomatic meeting with Mr. Lawrence Wong, Prime Minister of the Republic of Singapore. The meeting took place at the Istana during Sihasak’s official visit to Singapore from October 21-22, 2025. The discussions centered on enhancing bilateral cooperation, with a focus on Singapore’s food and energy security, as well as collaborations in carbon credit, the digital economy, and fintech.



The meeting also addressed preparations for the forthcoming official visit of Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Anutin Charnvirakul to Singapore in November 2025. Both leaders exchanged perspectives on regional cooperation and issues within the ASEAN framework, emphasizing the importance of collaboration in addressing regional challenges.
