Search teams will resume sea and land searches at Koh Tao island for the third running day on Thursday for the missing Russian female free diver after failed searches on Wednesday.
On Wednesday, divers scoured deeper undersea near Haad Sai Nuan beach of Koh Tao, but failed to find any traces of the missing Russian, 23-year old Ms Valentina Novozhenova, who went missing on February 15.
She was last heard of when she tweeted a friend saying she would try to break on own free diving record at 22.1 metre deep.
The land search team searched rocks, stone outcrops in Ban Chaloke hoping to find her personal belongings such as sun glasses, slippers, blankets or diving gears, but without any success.
Diving experts said that the sea spot off Ban Chaloke which was believed to be chosen as the diving spot by the Russian diver is deep and the under current is very strong.
