Samsen Road Repairs Progress as Sand Collapse Exceeds 8,000 Cubic Meters


Bangkok: The sand filling on Samsen Road has already collapsed to over 8,000 cubic meters. Progress on repairs to the collapsed Samsen Road in front of Vajira Hospital has been ongoing since October 14. Officials have filled in over 8,286 cubic meters of sand, leaving the road surface only 85 cm lower than the road surface.



According to Thai News Agency, from October 14-17, 2025, approximately 8,286 cubic meters of sand was added, resulting in the road surface level being approximately 85 cm below the road surface. Various debris obstructing the area is also being cleared, and the surrounding area is being cleaned. Preparations are underway to level the area for gravel filling.



The condition of the Samsen Police Station building, the police flats, and surrounding buildings are being continuously monitored, inspected, and assessed to ensure maximum safety. The project continues to expedite its work and prioritize safety to expedite the restoration of traffic surfaces.
