Bangkok: The Commander-in-Chief of the Royal Thai Navy emphasized that all armed forces are prepared to protect national sovereignty and act immediately in the event of an incident. He confirmed that the patrol boat unit will be operating along the border line announced by Thailand in 1973 and will not face any opposition from the opposing side.
According to Thai News Agency, Admiral Pairoj Fuangchan, Commander-in-Chief of the Royal Thai Navy, addressed the Defense Council meeting with the Minister of Defense about how sovereignty was being maintained. The Commander-in-Chief of the Royal Thai Navy stated that it was a matter of preparation, in accordance with the final resolution of the National Security Council (NSC), which states that all branches of the armed forces must be prepared to act immediately in the event of an incident or when an order is issued.
As for the Border Patrol Boat Division, how are they organized or reinforced? Normally, they organize their operations every six months, but in actual operations during this six-month cycle, there will be an internal cycle. In this situation, the entire strength of the Border Patrol Boat Division is in the area. We are operating according to the lines we announced in 1973. We have always used that line for patrolling and protecting national maritime interests, and there has been no resistance from the opposing side.
