Royal Thai Air Force Wows Crowds with Fighter Jet Show for National Children’s Day

Khon kaen: The Royal Thai Air Force Training Center in Nam Phong, Khon Kaen Province, became a hub of excitement as it hosted a stunning fighter jet show on its runway during the National Children's Day celebrations in 2026. Parents and children alike were enthusiastic participants in the event.

According to Thai News Agency, the event was organized under the motto "Love Thailand, Care for the World" and featured a grand opening ceremony starting at 8:00 AM. The Deputy Governor of Khon Kaen Province presided over the event, joining the children in singing the Thai national anthem to kickstart the proceedings.

The highlight of the celebration was an awe-inspiring aerial display. The day's activities began with a performance by the marching band from Buayai Pittayakom School, followed by a demonstration of the Alpha Jet fighter jet and impressive flyovers by F-16s, F-5s, and helicopters from the provinces of Nakhon Ratchasima, Udon Thani, and Ubon Ratchathani. These aerial spectacles captivated the audience throughout the event.

The exhibition also showcased advanced technology, including robotic displays like the Dog Robot, and featured F-16, C-130, and H-135 aircraft for visitors to photograph. Attendees could engage in skill-building activities such as drone control training and flight simulator experiences. Free snacks and ice cream were available throughout the event, adding to the festive atmosphere.

From the early hours, the event witnessed a vibrant atmosphere as many families arrived to participate in the activities. Given the current border situation, there was heightened interest in security, particularly air security, aligning with this year's slogan emphasizing patriotism. Many families seized the opportunity to learn about air defense and instill a sense of patriotism in their children, making the event a unique annual experience.

The National Children's Day activities at the Nam Phong Air Force Training Center in Khon Kaen Province will continue until 4:00 PM.
