Royal Thai Air Force Commemorates Coronation Day with Ceremony

Bangkok: The Royal Thai Air Force held a ceremony to commemorate His Majesty the King's Coronation Day on May 4, 2026. Air Chief Marshal Seksan Kantha, Commander-in-Chief of the Royal Thai Air Force, presided over the event on behalf of the Royal Thai Air Force. The ceremony was attended by Mrs. Apisada Kantha, President of the Royal Thai Air Force Spouses Association, senior officers, members of the Spouses Association, and personnel from the Royal Thai Air Force.

According to Thai News Agency, the Commander-in-Chief signed a book of well wishes at the Boriphat Reception Room, Royal Thai Air Force Headquarters, and offered floral tributes before His Majesty the King's portrait. He also delivered a speech expressing best wishes, loyalty, and gratitude for His Majesty's benevolence at the Chakraphong Reception Room, Royal Thai Air Force Headquarters.

Chakri Day commemorates the coronation anniversary of His Majesty King Vajiralongkorn, the 10th monarch of the Chakri Dynasty and the Kingdom of Thailand. He ascended the throne following the passing of His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej on October 13, 2016. The official coronation ceremony took place on May 4, 2019, and today is designated as "Chakri Day," a significant national day when Thai citizens demonstrate their loyalty to the monarchy.
