Bangkok: Music legends from across Thailand came together for the 'Rock Never Die' project, celebrating the iconic Laem Morrison at the 'Concert for Guitarking Lam Morrison 2026'. The event, held at the German Tawan Daeng Restaurant in Ramintra, saw a gathering of rock artists to honor the "Guitar King of Thailand," who is celebrated for his contributions to rock music.
According to Thai News Agency, the concert featured performances by prominent artists such as Olar Promjai, Add Carabao, Pong Hin Lek Fai, and Sek Loso. These musicians were joined by veteran rock artists, including Kitti Guitar Puen, Ch. On Na Bangchang, and Tao Sweat Rock, among others. Laem Morrison's manager, Nok-Boriphan Chaiyaphumi, and his daughter, Nat-Natcha Nuanjaem, were present to support and express gratitude for the event's success.
The concert was a reunion of artists from the 80s and 90s, with performances by Poo Back Head, Audi, Duo May, Tik Shiro, and more. Gen Z sensation PETCH PettyRock hosted the show alongside veteran hosts Bee Sawich, Jim Chuanchuen, and Nok Boriphan. The highlight of the night was Add Carabao's debut of his new song "Nene Nai Nae Mak," which featured a collaboration of artists across generations. Limited edition shirts were auctioned for significant sums, with contributions from Madame Linjong Opakul, bringing the total to 240,000 baht per shirt.
Generous donations continued as Mr. Sathien Sathianthamma, CEO of German Beer Garden, contributed 1 million baht from ticket sales and other sources. In gratitude, Laem Morrison's favorite autographed guitar was presented to CEO Sathian. The evening was a testament to the rock community's affection for Morrison, with Add Carabao describing him as a teacher and inspiration for young musicians.
The event was organized by musician friends to support Laem Morrison's medical care. A key feature is the proposed statue on Walking Street in Pattaya to honor Morrison's legacy. The tribute included a performance by Nene Royal, showcasing her song "Nene, You're Amazing," accompanied by two music videos.
Nat Nattacha, Morrison's daughter, expressed her emotions and gratitude, acknowledging the support and warmth shared by the artists. Laem Morrison himself expressed joy and gratitude, thanking his fellow musicians and fans with a heartfelt "Love you all" and a Sign of the Horns gesture.
