Bangkok: Region 4 Army Commander Lt. Gen. Paisal Noosang has expressed no concern about being removed from his role as the commander of the Southern Border Provinces Command. He clarified that his conversation with Mr. Phumtham Vejjayachai, the deputy prime minister and minister of defense, did not suggest any impending changes in his command position. Instead, he emphasized focusing on fulfilling his duties with a proactive approach.
According to Thai News Agency, Lt. Gen. Paisal spoke about the ongoing situation in the South following Mr. Phumtham's visit to the area on May 24-25. The purpose of the visit was to gather information from operational units actively working in the region. These units have been utilizing proactive measures to search target areas and apprehend suspects identified by security agencies.
When questioned about rumors regarding a change in leadership for the upcoming 4th season, Lt. Gen. Paisal reiterated his lack of concern, stating that he remains committed to his responsibilities. He noted that Mr. Phumtham did not mention any plans to alter the command of the 4th Army Area during their discussion. Lt. Gen. Paisal expressed uncertainty about the origins of these rumors, which were circulated by the media.
