Kingston: The music industry has lost another masterpiece with the passing of Sly Dunbar, the reggae drummer known for his collaborations with artists such as Bob Marley and the Rolling Stones. Dunbar was instrumental in producing many hit songs that played a significant role in shaping the music industry.
According to Thai News Agency, Dunbar's final moments were when his wife, Thelma, found him motionless on the morning of January 26th. She recounted, "I went to wake him at 7 am but he didn't wake up, and that was the bad news. Yesterday he was smiling and happy."
The cause of his death remains undetermined, although reports suggest that Dunbar had been ill for some time. His passing marks the end of an era, but he leaves behind a legacy of possibly 200,000 songs that will continue to influence and entertain future generations.
