Ratchanok Intanon Climbs to World Number 6 in Latest BWF Rankings

Bangkok: "May" Ratchanok Intanon, the celebrated Thai women's singles badminton player, has achieved a significant milestone by climbing to the world number 6 position in the latest rankings by the World Badminton Federation (BWF). This week, Ratchanok moved up two spots from her previous position, amassing 74,124 points.

According to Thai News Agency, another prominent Thai female player, Pornpawee Chochuwong, experienced a slight dip in her rankings. With 69,938 points, she has moved down from world number 7 to number 8. Meanwhile, in the men's singles category, Thailand's Kulavut Vitidsarn, who recently clinched victory at the Super 1000 Malaysia Open, holds steady at the world number 2 ranking, boasting a total of 101,579 points.

In the mixed doubles category, the duo of Dechapol Puavaranukroh, known as "Bas," and Supisara Piewsampran, known as "Fame," have made a notable return to the world number 3 position. Fresh off their triumph as India Open champions, they have garnered 92,895 points, moving up one place in the global standings.
