PTTEP Awards 359 Scholarships to Singhanakhon Students

Songkhla: PTT Exploration and Production Public Company Limited (PTTEP) has awarded 359 scholarships for the fiscal year 2025, totaling nearly 700,000 baht, to students from 10 schools in Singhanakhon District, Songkhla Province.

According to Thai News Agency, PTTEP held a scholarship award ceremony where 275 scholarships were awarded to students from network schools, while 84 scholarships were given to children of civil servants from Singhanakhon Municipality, Singhanakhon Police Station, and Singhanakhon District Office. This initiative aims to ease the financial burden on parents and provide educational opportunities for local youth, ultimately aiding in national development.

Mr. Chuphong Klanklip, Acting Senior Manager of the Petroleum Development Support Division at PTTEP, stated that the scholarship program is a reflection of PTTEP's commitment to social responsibility. The scholarships are intended to support families, boost student morale, and encourage youth to excel academically and become key contributors to their communities and the nation.

The 'Scholarships and Education Support Project' is supported by the G1/61 and G2/61 petroleum exploration and production projects operated by PTTEP Energy Development Public Company Limited. This initiative aligns with PTTEP's educational social responsibility goals and includes scholarships for students in schools near the Songkhla Support Base and network schools. It also provides scholarships through the Fisheries Association, including ongoing undergraduate scholarships for children of fishermen at leading institutions like the Faculty of Fisheries, Kasetsart University.
