PTT Wins Sustainability and Innovation Honor Award at SET Awards 2024.

Bangkok: PTT wins the Sustainability and Innovation Achievement Award from the SET Awards 2024, reflecting business excellence. According to Thai News Agency, on October 30, 2024, Dr. Kongkrapan Intarajang, Chief Executive Officer and President of PTT Public Company Limited (PTT), announced that PTT received two significant awards from the SET Awards 2024. These awards, organized by the Stock Exchange of Thailand and Banking Finance Magazine, include the Sustainability Awards of Honor and the Innovation Awards of Honor. This recognition underscores PTT's commitment to sustainable business management in all aspects, aiming to benefit both the organization and the country, while building confidence across all sectors and fostering synergy within the PTT Group under the vision of 'PTT, strong together with Thai society and growing sustainably globally.' This marks the fourth consecutive year that PTT has been honored with the Sustainability Awards of Honor, reflecting its steadfast dedication to operational ex cellence and sustainability. PTT's primary mission is to ensure energy security and integrate sustainability into its business practices, with a goal to achieve net zero greenhouse gas emissions by 2050. This is pursued through the C3 operational guidelines, which include: Climate Resilience Business: Adjusting portfolios and considering carbon emissions alongside business growth. Carbon-Conscious Asset: Enhancing production efficiency, utilizing clean energy like hydrogen, and incorporating new technologies into production processes, such as converting carbon dioxide into new products through Carbon Capture and Utilization (CCU). Coalition, Co-Creation, and Collective Efforts for All: Collaborating with stakeholders to develop infrastructure and technologies to reduce greenhouse gases using Carbon Capture and Storage (CCS) technologies, and increasing carbon dioxide absorption through natural means like planting and maintaining forests. For the SET Awards of Honor, PTT has consistently received the Best Innovative Company Awards for four successive years. In 2021, it was recognized for the development of the Innaqua bio-cellulose composite wound dressing, followed by the PTT EV Charger and Charging Platform innovation in 2022, and the PTT SCR catalyst innovation in 2023. This year, it was celebrated for the development of the 'PTT MicroHX Microscale Heat Exchanger Innovation,' which enhances energy efficiency in industrial estates by recycling waste energy, significantly reducing energy costs and carbon emissions. This innovation reduces environmental impact, decreases reliance on foreign technology, and boosts competitiveness both industrially and nationally. The innovation is patented with over 40 patents in nine countries, including the United States, the United Kingdom, Germany, China, Korea, Japan, Malaysia, Myanmar, and India. Currently, the innovation is being commercially installed at a rubber glove factory in Chonburi Province and PTT LNG Co., Ltd. (PTTLNG) for use in the LNG Terminal 1 project in Map Ta Phut Industrial Estate, Rayong Province. It is also being expanded commercially to industrial business groups both within and outside the PTT Group.
