Nakhon Sawan:The Prime Minister visited flood-stricken Nakhon Sawan province, emphasizing the government's commitment to providing comprehensive support to affected residents.
According to Thai News Agency, the Prime Minister, alongside key officials including the Minister of Interior and other MPs, visited Ban Kaeng Subdistrict to meet with flood-affected residents. During the visit, he assured the residents of full governmental support and distributed 500 relief packages to those in need. The Prime Minister highlighted the benefits of national disaster insurance, which offers 10,000 baht compensation per incident, unlike previous policies that provided a one-time payment regardless of repeated flooding.
The Prime Minister also addressed the cooperation efforts among MPs from various parties, stating that political affiliations are set aside for the benefit of helping the people. He stressed the importance of effective water management and rapid disaster relief, while acknowledging the challenges posed by geographical factors such as Bangkok's below-sea-level position.
During his visit, he engaged directly with the community, offering words of encouragement and addressing the need for shelters for vulnerable populations. He reiterated the government's dedication to restoring normalcy and emphasized that all government agencies are working together to ensure readiness and adequate care for those affected by the floods.
