Bangkok: The Prime Minister has called for evidence regarding the alleged cheating in local government recruitment exams to be submitted to the National Anti-Corruption Commission (NACC) for thorough investigation. He stressed that anyone found guilty of corruption in this matter will face the necessary consequences, stating that proof of these allegations can be verified by the NACC.
According to Thai News Agency, the Prime Minister addressed media inquiries about potential involvement from government officials in the scandal, expressing uncertainty on how to respond without concrete evidence. He emphasized the need for verifiable facts rather than mere speculation or rumor, underscoring the importance of evidence in pursuing any allegations.
During a press conference, the Prime Minister and Minister of Interior, Anutin Charnvirakul, responded to reporters' questions about rumors of a mastermind within the current government, insisting on the necessity of evidence. He reiterated that rumors alone are insufficient for action and that he cannot comment without being directly involved in the information.
Anutin also addressed concerns regarding individuals previously prosecuted, who have purportedly provided evidence linking them to current government ministers. He assured that any implicated individuals would face charges and encouraged the submission of all relevant evidence to the NACC. He highlighted the commission's capability to investigate and validate the truth behind these claims, inviting anyone with information to come forward.
