Bangkok:The Prime Minister of Thailand has introduced his ambitious "Reinvent Thailand" vision, a strategic plan aimed at overhauling the country's core sectors to achieve self-reliance and strengthen internal capabilities in energy, economy, and human capital development, while promoting a constructive political culture.
According to Thai News Agency, Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Anutin Charnvirakul presented this vision at the opening ceremony of THE STANDARD ECONOMIC FORUM 2026, held at Siam Paragon Shopping Center in Bangkok. The forum served as a platform for various sectors to share insights and ideas about Thailand's future under the "Reinvent Thailand" theme, focusing on enhancing opportunities for citizens and boosting the country's economic and global adaptability.
In his address, the Prime Minister noted the rapid global changes in areas such as the environment, artificial intelligence, aging societies, and geopolitical dynamics, which impact national competitiveness. The government's strategy emphasizes internal strengthening, energy security, economic transformation, and human capital development. Additionally, transforming the political culture to one based on facts and national interest, rather than divisive rhetoric or misinformation, is a key goal.
The Prime Minister highlighted the necessity of economic transformation and the role of technology in shaping the job market. With AI altering job dynamics, the government is committed to fostering citizens' skills in AI and partnering with educational institutions and businesses to ensure lifelong learning opportunities that meet current labor market needs.
