Bangkok: The Prime Minister has expressed his unawareness regarding the rumors about the dissolution of parliament scheduled for mid-December. He emphasized that he holds the decision-making power regarding the dissolution and dismissed the rumors as baseless, asserting that evaluating the source of such rumors would be futile.
According to Thai News Agency, Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Anutin Charnvirakul addressed the ongoing speculation about a potential parliamentary dissolution set for mid-December, ahead of the official timeline of January 31, 2026. He questioned the significance of the news, admitting his lack of knowledge about its origin. As the current Prime Minister, he retains the authority to propose a royal decree to dissolve Parliament, a power distinct to his office. Despite the circulating rumors, he clarified that he has no intention to dissolve Parliament at this time.
The Prime Minister further stated that the decision to dissolve Parliament is his constitutional right and authority. He assured that he continues to work daily without any issues. Regarding the evaluation of the rumor's source, he reiterated that it would be a waste of time and effort.
