Prime Minister Supports Local Artisans at OTOP Fair with Charitable Purchase

Bangkok: The Prime Minister attended the OTOP (One Tambon One Product) fair on its third day, where he purchased a black polo shirt to donate to the Friends Helping Friends Foundation, which operates under the Thai Red Cross Society. The fair's sales over two days have surpassed 199 million baht.

According to Thai News Agency, the OTOP Midyear 2026 event was inaugurated at Challenger 2, IMPACT Exhibition and Convention Center in Muang Thong Thani. Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Anutin Charnvirakul, accompanied by his wife, Mrs. Thanon Charnvirakul, interacted with entrepreneurs and vendors. During the visit, the Prime Minister acquired three black polo shirts from the Phung Pha shop, contributing the proceeds to the Friends Helping Friends Foundation. He also selected aromatherapy sachets packaged in fish shapes, choosing the scents himself before departing the venue.

Sales from the first two days of the event, June 20-21, 2026, reached a total of 199,438,990 baht. The best-selling product categories included the five OTOP categories, OTOP food products, OTOP artists, OTOP startups, and OTOP premium products. The provinces with the highest cumulative sales were Surin, Chanthaburi, Lamphun, Sukhothai, and Chiang Mai.
