Satun: The Prime Minister assured residents of Satun Province that the government is dedicated to ensuring no one is left behind, as efforts are accelerated to address and prevent future water-related issues. He emphasized his commitment to the province by appointing representatives to ensure comprehensive support.

According to Thai News Agency, Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Anutin Charnvirakul, along with his delegation, visited Ban Khlong Khut School in Khlong Khut Subdistrict, Mueang District, Satun Province. During this visit, they distributed 800 relief bags to those affected by the floods. Anutin shared that despite feeling dizzy due to medication for a cold, he remains steadfast in his commitment to the people of Satun, who have supported him for nearly a decade.

Anutin acknowledged the significant damage caused by flooding, noting that while Satun is draining water faster than Hat Yai District, the high water levels have caused considerable harm. The government plans to expedite relief efforts, including providing loans to help businesses recover and funds to repair damaged homes and property.

The Prime Minister also mentioned his visit to Hat Yai District earlier in the day before heading to Satun. He observed the extensive impact of the floods and assured that the government is formulating assistance plans to aid those affected. Anutin emphasized the importance of his team in developing and approving relief strategies to address the current situation and prevent further problems.

Anutin, reflecting on his previous roles as Minister of Public Health and Minister of Interior, expressed his dedication to resolving long-term challenges faced by the people. As Prime Minister, he aims to leverage his experience to support projects and investments that enhance public convenience and safety. He stressed the urgency of implementing these projects swiftly.

Addressing the construction of dams, Anutin acknowledged the substantial costs involved but highlighted their necessity. He reassured the people of Satun of the strong representation they have through their MPs, who are instrumental in securing budgets for the province's benefit. The floodwall project, he noted, is already part of the 2027 budget.

The Prime Minister concluded by expressing his support and commitment to the people of Satun, urging them to have confidence in their representatives and the government's efforts. He encouraged collaboration to alleviate the people's suffering and wished for their happiness at the year's end.

In Khlong Khut Subdistrict, 1,700 households have been impacted by the floods.
