Udon Thani:The Thai Prime Minister, Anutin Charnvirakul, has directed his Cabinet to prepare for the upcoming no-confidence motion. A Cabinet meeting is scheduled to take place in Udon Thani on November 2-3, with a focus on addressing issues faced by farmers and participating in the International Horticultural Expo.
According to Thai News Agency, Anutin emphasized the importance of ministers providing relief to those affected by floods and water management challenges. He also stressed the need for readiness in responding to the no-confidence debate by the opposition, which is scheduled for October 27-30. This period coincides with the Prime Minister's overseas commitments, necessitating further discussions between government and opposition whips.
Deputy Prime Minister Yotsanulok Wongsawat, a key member of the Pheu Thai Party, confirmed the party's readiness to support the government at the meeting. As part of the coalition, Pheu Thai is prepared to offer its backing during the no-confidence motion.
The Cabinet has also approved plans to hold an official meeting outside Bangkok, known as "Cabinet on Tour," in Udon Thani Province. The agenda will prioritize agricultural, food, and drug trafficking issues, with the National Economic and Social Development Council tasked with developing relevant projects. Budget allocations are expected to be similar to previous meetings, although not strictly capped at 100 million baht per province.
During their visit, the Cabinet will attend the 2026 International Horticultural Exposition, which runs from November 1, 2026, to March 14, 2027, at Nong Dae Wetland in Udon Thani Province.
