Prime Minister Anutin Charnvirakul Hints at Return Amid New Year’s Wishes

Bangkok: The Prime Minister offered New Year's greetings, wishing for an immediate end to all misfortunes, and dropped a hint about someone returning to Government House on a white horse, saying it's up to the people. Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Anutin Charnvirakul extended New Year greetings for 2026 on the occasion of today being the last working day of the year, expressing gratitude to all parties, including the media, for providing information to the public throughout the country about the government's accomplishments during each period.

According to Thai News Agency, the Prime Minister continued, "I would like to take this opportunity to extend my best wishes to all Thai people. May all suffering, sorrow, and misfortune that occurred in the past year disappear with the new year, from this very moment onward. There's no need to wait until the next year. In this new year, 2026, the Year of the Horse, may it be a year of vigor, excitement, and forward momentum with strength and stability, bringing victory, happiness, and good health to everyone."

When asked by reporters whether, being the year of the horse, he would ride back to become Prime Minister for another term, the Prime Minister replied that it depends on the people.
