Bangkok: The Prime Minister, who also serves as the Minister of Interior, Anutin Charnvirakul, chaired a meeting of the Police Civil Service Commission (PCSC) with a primary focus on the selection and appointment of police officers across various ranks.
According to Thai News Agency, the commission's agenda included crucial discussions on filling positions from Deputy National Police Chief and Inspector General of Police down to commanders. This year, there are 163 positions that need to be filled, including 3 Deputy National Police Chiefs, 6 Assistant National Police Chiefs, 19 Commanders, 41 Deputy Commanders, and 94 Commanders.
The meeting underscores the government's commitment to ensuring that key positions within the national police structure are filled efficiently and effectively, maintaining the integrity and functionality of the police force.
