Hat yai: Anutin Charnvirakul, the Prime Minister and Minister of Interior, revealed that Minister of Labour Julapan Amornvivat was the mastermind behind the initiative to host a dinner inviting cabinet members to his home, mentioning that there were numerous topics to discuss.
According to Thai News Agency, the conversation took place at the International Convention Center at Prince of Songkla University, Hat Yai Campus, following a press conference on the Cabinet meeting held outside Bangkok in Songkhla Province. During a casual exchange in front of the conference room, reporters inquired whether the Prime Minister had informed the ministers about the planned dinner at his residence on September 6th. The Prime Minister deflected the question to Mr. Julapan, who confirmed the invitation.
The dialogue continued with the Prime Minister playfully adjusting Mr. Julapan's collar and inquiring about his attire. In response to questions about the dinner, the Prime Minister clarified that the idea originated with Mr. Julapan. When asked if the dinner would cover any special topics, he mentioned they would discuss various matters. However, he humorously declined to showcase his culinary skills, joking that it might deter attendance.
Reporters also touched on an upcoming meeting of the Data Center Policy Committee, organized by Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Finance Ekniti Nitithanprapha, aimed at establishing a framework to boost data center investments in Thailand. The Prime Minister indicated he had not yet received a report on the meeting, scheduled for September 4th. Meanwhile, Mr. Chaiyanok Chidchob, Minister of Digital Economy and Society, noted that sharing a meal together among cabinet members is customary.
