Prime Minister Prayut Chan-o-cha this morning presided over a religious ceremony of five religions Buddhism, Islam, Christianity, Hinduism and Sikhism to mark His Majesty King Maha Vajiralongkorn Bodindradebayavarangkun's 66th birthday which falls on July 28.
The ceremony was held at the Santi Maitree Building and was attended by about 350 people, including Cabinet members and their spouses, senior government officials, and representatives of disciples of the five religions.
Gen Prayut delivered a speech in the name of the Thai people to offer His Majesty the King birthday blessings.
The prime minister and Cabinet members later took part in cleaning up roads and removing weeds in Khlong Prem Prachakorn and Khlong Phadung Krung Kasem canals from Chamai Maruchet bridge on Phitsanulok road to Orathai bridge on Luk Luang road.
