Prachinburi:The Juvenile and Family Court of Prachinburi Province has temporarily moved its case adjudication operations to the Prachinburi Provincial Court following severe flooding that disrupted its services.
According to Thai News Agency, continuous heavy rainfall has caused flash floods in Prachinburi Province, significantly affecting transportation routes and various government buildings. The Prachinburi Juvenile and Family Court has been directly impacted, with surrounding roads inundated, rendering them impassable for small vehicles. Floodwaters have entered the first floor of the courthouse, necessitating a temporary power cut for safety reasons.
Since September 27, 2026, the court has faced severe flooding, which intensified on September 29, when flash floods inundated the courthouse area, judges' residences, and staff housing. The persistent floodwaters have reached 1 meter and 10 centimeters inside the courthouse, prompting staff to use kayaks for monitoring and safeguarding government property.
In response to these conditions, the court has relocated its operations to the Prachinburi Provincial Court's 4th floor, effective October 12, 2026, until the situation normalizes. This measure ensures the uninterrupted administration of justice and public services, safeguarding the rights and interests of children, youth, families, and litigants.
Litigants can submit pleadings and documents at the new location or through the court's electronic systems, such as the e-Filing system and the CIOS system, adhering to prescribed rules and procedures.
The relocation aims to maintain the smooth operation of legal services without affecting the rights of involved parties. The Court of Justice advises the public and legal professionals to stay informed through official communication channels and avoid traveling to flood-affected areas unless necessary. The court remains committed to ensuring the continuation of judicial processes and public services amid the ongoing challenges caused by the flooding.
