Bangkok:Police have identified a motorcyclist who assaulted a female driver after she honked her horn to warn him, and they are urgently pursuing him for prosecution.
According to Thai News Agency, the incident occurred last night under the Lat Phrao Five-Intersection bridge. A video of the altercation shows the man climbing onto the car's hood and smashing the side window. When the woman opened the door and apologized with a respectful gesture, the man punched her in the face multiple times, causing injuries. The conflict reportedly began when the motorcyclist attempted to brake suddenly to make a U-turn after passing the designated area, prompting the victim to honk her horn briefly.
The victim has filed a police report at Phaholyothin Police Station. Investigations have revealed that the motorcycle involved had been sold three times, complicating efforts to determine if the transactions were genuine or involved acquaintances. Police have examined CCTV footage to trace the route to and from the scene, allowing them to identify the motorcycle's owner and the perpetrator by name. The victim has been requested to identify the attacker from a photograph.
Additionally, it has been discovered that the perpetrator has committed similar offenses in various areas around Bangkok and its vicinity. The suspect is believed to originate from Nonthaburi province. Police efforts are ongoing to apprehend and prosecute the individual involved.
