Bangkok: Anticipation builds as charges are expected to be filed against 'Film Ratthaphum' in connection to an audio clip demanding money from Boss Di Icon. Police are currently gathering evidence and anticipate reaching a clear conclusion next week. Meanwhile, the former driver of 'Lawyer Tum' has provided useful testimony and has not been charged. According to Thai News Agency, Pol. Col. Anek Taosuphap, deputy commander of the Crime Suppression Division, disclosed that after questioning suspects in the The Icon Group case, investigators are considering whether the actions of Mr. Ratthaphum Tokongsub, also known as Film, and Ms. Krisanong Suwanwong constitute attempted fraud or extortion. If the case involves fraud, the provincial court will consider issuing a summons. However, if extortion is involved, which carries a severe penalty, an arrest warrant may be issued. The investigation is expected to proceed within the timeframe specified by Pol. Maj. Gen. Charoonkiat Pankaew, deputy commander of the Central Investigation Bureau, who requested up to 10 days, ending this week, though the specific day remains uncertain. In relation to Mr. Lek, the former driver for Lawyer Tum involved in transporting 39 million baht, his initial testimony aligned with the police's evidence. Authorities believe that Mr. Lek acted under orders, a typical behavior for subordinates. However, if it is later discovered that Mr. Lek concealed information, he may face charges similar to "Dao," who is Lawyer Tum's sister-in-law. Dao was charged due to her involvement and concealment of information, which differed from Mr. Lek's behavior. Additionally, the police are examining the involvement of Tam, Lawyer Tum's younger sister, in forged evidence related to Madam Oi's Benz case. The investigation is ongoing to determine her level of involvement, and legal action may follow if incriminating evidence surfaces. Next week, Pol. Col.
