Nakhon si thammarat: Highway police pursued a drug trafficking gang smuggling methamphetamine from Bangkok to the south, arresting two suspects and seizing one million methamphetamine pills in Nakhon Si Thammarat province. Meanwhile, the Office of the Narcotics Control Board (ONCB) is expanding its investigation into the "Sun Thung Chin" case, seizing nearly 100,000 more methamphetamine pills. According to Thai News Agency, highway police released images of a chase and arrest of a target vehicle transporting one million methamphetamine pills from Bangkok. Authorities from Bangkok were heading south when they conducted an operation on Asian Highway 41 in Cha-uat District, Nakhon Si Thammarat Province. Inside the vehicle were two people, a man and a woman. Officers identified themselves and conducted a search, taking the two to the Cha-uat Highway Police service unit. A search of the vehicle, conducted in their presence, revealed 200 bundles of methamphetamine pills, totaling one million pills, hidden inside. The drugs and four mobile phones were confiscated. Regarding the arrest of Mr. Chakrakrit, or "Sun Thungchin," the latest development is that the Office of the Narcotics Control Board (ONCB) and local police have seized nearly 100,000 more methamphetamine pills from a private transportation company. This is another batch of methamphetamine being sent through the "Sun Thungchin" network. Further investigations into the financial trail will be conducted.
