PM confirms no cover-up of government officials linked to the Icon case

Government House, 22 Oct. - PM confirms that the case of The Icon, which involves government officials, will not be covered up. Reveals that the National Police Chief clearly stated that if there is evidence, it will be done according to the law. Ms. Paethongtarn Shinawatra, Prime Minister, gave an interview about the progress of the investigation into government officials accepting bribes in the case of The Icon Group, saying that the Royal Thai Police, led by Pol. Gen. Kittirat Panpetch, the national police chief, is currently investigating the matter. They are trying to find facts based on the available evidence and have already instructed that if they receive any additional information, they should report it to the public. Furthermore, if it is a matter related to officials, they should be clear about who it is, where it is from, and how it is done, because the public has been demanding a lot that we may be covered up. From what I have discussed with the national police chief, he has confirmed that there will be no such matter.
