Bangkok: Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Transport, Pipat Ratchakitprakarn, has refrained from making public comments on the environmental concerns highlighted by Industry Minister Varawut Silpa-archa regarding the "Land Bridge" project. Pipat emphasized the importance of internal discussions on the matter, particularly within the Cabinet meeting, to prevent potential conflicts.
According to Thai News Agency, Pipat has chosen to keep discussions about the environmental impact of the Land Bridge project within the confines of internal government deliberations. He declined to provide further details, suggesting that public discourse might lead to unnecessary disputes. Pipat also pointedly mentioned that Varawut, who previously worked at the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment, appears to have overlooked his current responsibilities at the Ministry of Industry.
