Bangkok: Pheu Thai Party leader Phumtham Wechayachai has raised questions about the younger parties' opinions on the cabinet led by Anutin Charnvirakul, following its recent royal appointment. Phumtham, who played a significant role in pushing the cabinet into office, emphasized the importance of understanding the younger parties' perspectives, particularly since they might not even be fully aware of the political group they are supporting.
According to Thai News Agency, Phumtham noted concerns regarding some members of the National Anti-Corruption Commission (NACC), highlighting ongoing challenges they face. He pointed out potential conflicts of interest, as some members are linked to stocks or other business entities. Phumtham stressed the necessity of addressing these issues by consulting the younger parties involved.
Phumtham also commented on the Minister of Justice, who is perceived to have ties to the influential Buriram political group, often referred to as the "Buriram model." He suggested that the affiliations of each cabinet member should be scrutinized, though he refrained from making further comments on the matter.
