Phumtham Delegates Explanation of US Trade Talks to Pichai

Bangkok: Phumtham Vejjayachai, acting Prime Minister and Minister of Interior, addressed recent discussions between Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Finance Pichai Chunhavajira and the United States Trade Representative. Phumtham acknowledged that while he was informed about the talks and noted that the situation appears favorable, he deferred to Pichai for a detailed explanation of the discussions. According to Thai News Agency, Phumtham stated that the discussions between Pichai and the US Trade Representative were constructive, resulting in proposals and conclusions that seemed promising. However, he indicated that some elements of the discussions are still pending further processing. Phumtham emphasized the importance of Pichai providing a comprehensive explanation to clarify the outcomes and next steps of the trade discussions.
