Phinij Chanthasurin Leads Local Candidates to Bhumjaithai Party for Upcoming Election


Lampang: Phinij Chanthasurin has spearheaded an initiative to bring candidates from the Lampang and Lamphun Provincial Administrative Organizations into the Bhumjaithai Party ahead of the next election. This strategic move aims to strengthen the party’s position in these regions.



According to Thai News Agency, Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Anutin Charnvarikul, along with Deputy Minister of Interior Songsak Thongsri and Bhumjaithai Party member Santi Promphat, extended a warm welcome to Phinij Chantarasurin. Phinij, a former Lampang MP and Minister of Agriculture during Prime Minister General Suchinda Kraprayoon’s administration, joined the party with five members from the Lamphun Provincial Administrative Organization. They presented flowers as a gesture of congratulations and submitted their applications for Bhumjaithai Party membership.



Mr. Anutin disclosed that Mr. Songsak played a pivotal role in persuading Mr. Phinij to align with the Bhumjaithai Party. Mr. Songsak noted that Mr. Phinij’s cohort includes four Lampang MP candidates and several members from the Lamphun Provincial Administrative Organization. All of these individuals are set to run as Bhumjaithai Party candidates in the forthcoming election.
