Phatra Group Opens Trading Below IPO Price on MAI Stock Exchange

Bangkok: PHAT opened trading today at 1.84 baht, marking an 8% decline from its initial public offering (IPO) price of 2.00 baht.

According to Thai News Agency, the opening ceremony was attended by prominent figures including Mr. Sarawis Krairiksh, Deputy Manager of the Securities Issuance and Marketing Department at the Stock Exchange of Thailand (SET), Mr. Prapan Chareonprawat, Manager of the MAI Stock Exchange, and Mr. Somnuk Chantawong, Chief Executive Officer of Phatra Group Public Company Limited. The company, trading under the symbol 'PHAT', commenced trading within the Agriculture and Food Industry group on the MAI Stock Exchange.

Phatra Group is involved in the extraction and sale of crude palm oil, palm kernel, and by-products, sourcing fresh palm bunches from farmers and over 200 trading partners in Krabi and neighboring provinces. The company's factory, located in Khao Phanom District, Krabi Province, boasts a production capacity of 60 tons of fresh palm fruit per hour. The main clientele comprises crude palm oil refineries, vegetable oil producers, and international traders. In the first quarter of 2026, 98.89% of the company's revenue was generated from crude palm oil and palm kernel sales, with 1.11% coming from by-products and other income.

The IPO consisted of 118.86 million shares priced at 2 baht each, raising a total of 237.72 million baht. At the IPO price, the market capitalization was calculated at 942.86 million baht, with a price-to-earnings (P/E) ratio of 5.91. The funds raised are earmarked for the development of a kernel oil extraction plant, a biogas production system, and as working capital.
