Bangkok: Pa Mok Market faced severe flooding after the embankment in Sub-Community No. 3, Village No. 2, Pa Mok Sub-district, Ang Thong Province, failed for the second time, allowing water to inundate Road 33, Pa Mok - Suphan Buri.
According to Thai News Agency, the collapse caused water levels to rise over one meter high on Highway 33, rapidly flooding the economic sector. The sudden influx forced passengers to navigate through the rising waters, with some vehicles rendered inoperable. Wong Sawat Kindergarten School, situated in Pa Mok Market, was also affected by the floodwaters. In response, officials and students from Wat Bosth Woradit School took action to relocate belongings to safer, elevated areas.
Assistance efforts were bolstered by soldiers from the 1st Artillery Battalion, Lopburi Royal Guard, who promptly arrived to aid evacuees. Meanwhile, local authorities began preparations to construct a third embankment in an attempt to manage the crisis. The flooding situation has impacted four out of seven districts in Ang Thong Province, affecting over 5,000 households.
