Outpouring of Support for Fallen Soldier Sergeant Rung

Buriram: "Mother of Sergeant Rung" overwhelmed by the outpouring of support for her son's body, shares a video of his last visit to her at the evacuation center. The body of Sergeant Rerng arrived at Wat Huai Po, Pangku Subdistrict, Prakhon Chai District, Buriram Province, amidst crowds of people waving Thai national flags along the road. His mother expressed her deep emotion at the outpouring of support and told her son, "If there is a next life, be my son again."

According to Thai News Agency, the body of Sergeant Major Samroeng Klangprakhon, who died in a clash with Cambodian soldiers at Hill 350 in Surin Province, arrived at Wat Huai Po, Pangku Subdistrict, Prakhon Chai District, Buriram Province. A crowd of people lined the road waving Thai flags. Governor Piya Pichanom of Buriram Province and other officials were present to receive the body. Following the reception, a traditional funeral rite was held.

The atmosphere inside the temple was crowded. Most of the discussions focused on Sergeant Rerng's bravery, sacrifice, and filial piety. In particular, a video clip of Sergeant Rerng visiting his mother at the temporary shelter, showing him embracing and kissing her while saying, "I miss you, Mom," was being shared.

The mother of Sergeant Rung expressed her gratitude for the many people waving Thai flags to show their support along the way, even though she is still grieving the loss of her son. She told her son, "If there is a next life, I hope Sergeant Rung will be born as my son again."
