Bangkok: The Department of Community Development has announced the “OTOP Regional Fair 2026” under the theme “The Vibrant Colors of Our Region, Stories of Wisdom,” aiming to promote sustainable grassroots economic development by featuring a wide range of Thai traditional products across six provinces.
According to Thai News Agency, Mr. Pairoj Sopaporn, Deputy Director-General of the Department of Community Development, chaired the press conference, where he detailed the concept of the event and its significance in highlighting high-quality products from Thailand’s various regions. The fair will take place in six pilot provinces: Kalasin, Rayong, Nan, Chonburi, Phatthalung, and Loei, and aims to support OTOP producers and entrepreneurs by expanding market channels and generating income for local communities.
Mr. Sopaporn emphasized that the theme “The Colors of Our Region, Stories of Wisdom” is designed to reflect the cultural diversity and unique stories behind each locality’s valuable artifacts. The event
will feature exhibitions and sales of OTOP products, including food, Thai textiles, crafts, basket weaving, jewelry, and home decor, all showcasing traditional wisdom and storytelling.
Visitors can enjoy promotional activities, contemporary cultural performances, and participate in various fun activities with opportunities to win special prizes during the 7-day event. The event schedule is as follows: Kalasin Province, March 25-31, 2026, at Kalasin Provincial Hall; Rayong Province, April 1-7, 2026, at Rayong Provincial Stadium; Nan Province, April 24-30, 2026, at Nong Nam Khrok District; Chonburi Province, May 15-21, 2026, at Chonburi Provincial Hall; Phatthalung Province, May 18-24, 2026, at Phatthalung Provincial Hall; and Loei Province, May 25-31, 2026, at Loei Provincial Hall.
