Orawan and Suthasinee Secure Fourth Consecutive Women’s Doubles Table Tennis Championship

Bang yai: "Thip" Orawan Paranang and "Ying" Suthasinee Sawetabut have achieved their fourth consecutive victory in the women's doubles table tennis championship at the 33rd Southeast Asian Games. The event took place at Westgate Hall, located on the fourth floor of Central Westgate Shopping Mall. According to Thai News Agency, the final match was an all-Thai affair, with Orawan and Suthasinee facing "Bua" Jinnipa Sawetabut and "Tangmo" Thamawan Khetkhuean. The defending champions demonstrated their skill and experience by defeating their opponents 3-0, with scores of 11-2, 11-9, and 11-7. This victory marked their second gold medal at this SEA Games, following their success in the women's team event. After the competition, Orawan expressed that the pressure before the match was alleviated by her previous win against Malaysia in the semi-finals and the prospect of facing a fellow Thai duo in the final. She conveyed her happiness in securing another championship title. Meanwhile, Suthasinee still has the sing les competition to look forward to in the coming days.
