Operation to Restore Faith, Seize Billions of Baht in Assets and Return Them to Wat Phra Bat Nam Phu

Bangkok: The Central Investigation Bureau announced the results of its operation to restore faith, seizing tens of billions of baht in assets and returning them to Wat Phra Bat Nam Phu. They are preparing to gather evidence and hand it over to Wat Phra Bat Nam Phu to file a civil lawsuit to recover the money from those who took the temple's funds.

According to Thai News Agency, the Central Investigation Bureau, in collaboration with several agencies, announced the results of the "Restoring Faith, Telling Superstitions, CIB Style" operation to reclaim assets from Wat Phra Bat Nam Phu. The report details progress three months after the arrest of "Tid Alongkot," the former abbot of Wat Phra Bat Nam Phu, and "Dr. B," in August. Assets seized included land title deeds and NS3 documents totaling over 7,200 rai, as well as 60 passenger cars, vans, pickup trucks, tractors, buses, and trucks, totaling over 10 billion baht.

The investigation also revealed approximately 200 million baht in assets, which were disposed of through various means, including loans. Officials believe there are still more missing assets and insist on decisive legal action. For anyone who has not returned temple property, we are issuing a final warning to return it. Officials are giving every opportunity possible, but time is running out. Furthermore, evidence will be gathered and submitted to Wat Phra Bat Nam Phu for a civil lawsuit to recover the money from those who have also taken the temple's funds.
