Bangkok: Nida Poll Director believes a new prime minister will be appointed within 2-3 days, with the "Suchart" group leading the Ruam Thai Sang Chart Party to form a government with the Bhumjaithai Party. Asst. Prof. Dr. Suwicha Pao-aree, Director of the Nida Poll, stated after the Constitutional Court voted to impeach Paetongtarn Shinawatra and her entire Cabinet for serious ethical violations related to the audio clip of Hun Sen that the Pheu Thai Party must strive to form a government. However, given the recent moves by Anutin Charnvirakul, leader of the Bhumjaithai Party, who has been gathering MP votes to form a government, if negotiations with the Prachachon Party result in an agreement, Anutin will be the next Prime Minister. He added that Mr. Suchart Chomklin's group, which will lead the Ruam Thai Sang Chart Party to join Mr. Anutin, should they reach 250 votes, will make the distribution of ministerial positions easier, given the Prachachon Party's announcement that it will not join the government. However, he believes Thaksin Shinawatra will not let go, so the movements of various parties will be closely monitored starting tonight.
According to Thai News Agency, Asst. Prof. Dr. Suwicha added that negotiations won't last long, believing a new prime minister will be established within two to three days. However, if the new prime minister remains from the Pheu Thai Party, there will still be shocks, particularly regarding security. However, if the government is not replaced by a Pheu Thai Party, there will be no issues to rally the masses about. However, in the case of General Prayut Chan-o-cha, one of the prime ministerial candidates, the Prachachon Party has clearly stated its opposition to "Uncle Tu" as prime minister. Another scenario that Pheu Thai could pursue is supporting General Prayut and bringing back the Bhumjaithai Party, a position it believes Anutin would be willing to accept.
