According to Thai News Agency, Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesman Guo Jiakun announced that China and Nepal are closely collaborating on disaster prevention and response following the landslide. This cooperation encompasses search and rescue operations, information sharing, and preventive measures for future disasters. China has extended its support by providing Nepal with meteorological and hydrological data, facilitating expert consultations, and disseminating early warning information. Moreover, China has expressed its unwavering commitment to aiding Nepal's disaster relief efforts and enhancing bilateral cooperation in disaster management for the welfare of both nations.
Goa, representing the Nepalese government, affirmed Nepal's dedication to disaster response and relief initiatives. He highlighted the international community's assistance and stressed the importance of respecting Nepal's decisions and requests, cautioning against unfounded speculations.
Additionally, the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Organization of Nepal reported that as of 6:00 PM local time on Monday, the death toll in the mudslide-affected region has reached 939, with 3,925 individuals still missing.
