Naval Recruit Training Center Opens Doors for Unique Sea Experience

Sattahip: The Naval Recruit Training Center, Department of Naval Education, opened its training grounds amidst the waves, focusing on creating navy soldiers who are strong both physically and mentally. Captain Tiwa Onlaor, Commander of the Naval Recruit Training Center, led a group of commanders to participate in a sea activity with the new recruits of the 4/68 batch. According to Thai News Agency, the recruits swam in the sea at Bang Saray Bay, Bang Saray Subdistrict, Sattahip District, Chonburi Province, providing them with real-world experience in saltwater. This experience was aimed at instilling a deep sense of naval spirit from their very first steps. The activity was a test of both mind and body, as many recruits admitted it was their first time in the sea. However, the presence of their commanders in the water helped reflect a leadership style that emphasizes action. The training center has designated this sea swimming activity as a supplementary part of the basic training course for recruits. The f ocus is on familiarization with the maritime environment and enhancing strength, endurance, and combat readiness, which are core values of Royal Thai Navy personnel. Under the theme "Navy Combat Readiness Year 2026," the training aims to forge the naval spirit, enabling recruits to stand firm in the face of rough seas. This initiative is seen as a step towards building a navy that the public trusts and is proud of.
