National Savings Fund Celebrates 150th Anniversary with Special Event


Bangkok: The National Savings Fund (NSF) is hosting a special event titled ‘MOF JOURNEY 150 Years of Thai Fiscal Journey’ to commemorate the 150th anniversary of the Ministry of Finance. The event is scheduled to take place from May 1-3, 2025, between 10:00 a.m. and 8:00 p.m. at the Queen Sirikit National Convention Center, Halls 3-4, Floor G.



According to Thai News Agency, the Government Savings Bank will be a key participant at booth number 31, where visitors can access information on savings and member benefits. The exhibition is open to the public for free and will feature engaging activities, including a simulation of the ‘GSB Lottery’. This initiative, under the theme ‘Buying lottery tickets and not losing money’, aims to promote a new, accessible savings format for people from all occupations. Participants will have the chance to win special prizes and souvenirs from the Government Savings Bank throughout the event.



Moreover, individuals interested in GSF membership can verify their eligibility and make savings contributions during the event to enjoy various benefits. The savings scheme allows individuals to save a minimum of 50 baht up to 30,000 baht annually, with the government matching contributions by 50-100% per year, up to 1,800 baht, depending on the age category. For ages 15-30, the government will match 50% of savings; for ages over 30-50, an 80% match; and for ages over 50-60, a 100% match, all with a cap of 1,800 baht per year.
