Bangkok: The National Council of Social Welfare of Thailand under the Royal Patronage has initiated a forum aimed at gathering opinions and shaping a management strategy for the period 2026-2030. This development comes following the first meeting of the Executive Committee for the term 2026-2030, which took place on September 8-9, 2026, at the Vayupak Convention Center in Bangkok. The forum emphasizes the theme "Different Roles, One Heart: Jointly Building a Supportive Thai Society."
According to Thai News Agency, the forum's primary goal is to collect perspectives and work approaches from regional administrators that align with the local needs and challenges. Additionally, it seeks to incorporate initiatives from the National Outstanding Mother Foundation for Mothers Across the Nation. This collaborative effort underscores the Council's commitment to addressing societal issues through a unified strategy, seeking input from diverse regional representatives.
The meeting, chaired by Police Lieutenant Colonel Dr. Manas Nonuch, the President of the National Council of Social Welfare, focused on driving forward the Council's work to benefit the public and society tangibly. Dr. Manas emphasized the importance of cooperation from all sectors to improve the quality of life and create a supportive society. He highlighted the necessity of adapting the Council's work to modern contexts while continuing the initiatives set by the former president.
Dr. Manas further stated that the success of the Social Welfare Council relies on collaboration across all regions, districts, and provinces. The executive committee is committed to listening to feedback and making necessary improvements to maximize the benefits of their work. He stressed that the Council's objectives cannot be achieved by the president or the executive committee alone, but require collective efforts from all working groups to effectively serve the public.
