CCTV footage from late last night (September 5th) captured the moment two men on a motorcycle parked in front of a convenience store. They then approached a man in a striped shirt and immediately began punching him. The man in the striped shirt fled for his life, circling the parking lot in front of the convenience store before running towards the fresh market. However, he was still beaten severely by the assailants.
According to Thai News Agency, later at approximately 10:10 PM, police at Muang Nonthaburi Police Station received a report of a man being assaulted and injured in Soi Phibul Songkhram 19, Suan Yai Subdistrict, Muang Nonthaburi District. Officers then coordinated with volunteers from the Ruam Katanyu Foundation to investigate the scene. At the scene, Mr. Naing, a Myanmar national, was found unconscious near the fresh market. Police officers and rescue workers performed CPR for approximately 20 minutes before rushing him to the hospital.
Upon questioning, Ms. Rung, the caretaker of the Myanmar nationals, stated that she is not the employer but rather someone who handles the renewal of work permits for the foreign children. Initial inquiries revealed that Mr. Nai (the injured party) went to demand 3,000 baht from the other party, also a Myanmar national, at a snooker table. The other party refused, saying they would return the money, but Mr. Nai refused, so he snatched the other party's phone and ran outside. The two assailants then chased after him and beat him until he was unconscious. A short while later, someone called to inform her that Mr. Nai had been assaulted and was lying unconscious near the market. She rushed to the scene and called 1669 because she saw the injured man's lips were pale, he was foaming at the mouth, and his breathing was weak.
Police are currently gathering evidence and reviewing CCTV footage in the vicinity to track down the perpetrators and bring them to justice.
