Bangkok: Muang Thai Life Assurance Public Company Limited (MTL) is actively advancing its business operations towards sustainability under the ESG framework by organizing continuous employee activities and volunteer programs. These initiatives aim to enhance the quality of life for its personnel while also contributing to society for the long-term benefit of customers, communities, and the broader Thai society. According to Thai News Agency, Mr. Sara Lamsam, CEO of Muang Thai Life Assurance, emphasized the company's commitment to volunteer activities aimed at improving employee quality of life and promoting responsible citizenship. Through the "Passing Happiness to Society" initiative, MTL supports "CSR Leave," allowing employees to engage in meaningful activities that align with their interests and skills. In 2025, approximately 260 employees, representing 10 percent of the workforce, participated in this program. In the first half of 2025, MTL conducted eight major social volunteer activities. These inclu ded the "Delivering Happiness to Children with Intellectual Disabilities" event in Ratchaburi Province during Children's Day in January, and "Folding Towels into 1,000 Teddy Bears to Share" in February, which encouraged employees to create teddy bears and write supportive cards for children in hospitals and remote areas. Other activities involved delivering teddy bears to MTL Children's Hospital in April and organizing the 3rd Happy and Cultivating Volunteer Camp in May. These efforts aimed to foster creativity and volunteerism among employees' families through eco-printing, financial education, and cupcake making. In June, the "Listening for Happiness" activity, in collaboration with the Thai Health Promotion Foundation, focused on enhancing communication skills and positive interactions, while the Thai Sea Conservation Project involved releasing sea turtles and cleaning the conservation pond at the Royal Thai Navy Sea Turtle Conservation Center in Chonburi Province. MTL also prioritizes spiritual well-bein g to boost workplace engagement and happiness through art, meditation, and sports activities. These initiatives have been shown to enhance work efficiency, creativity, and organizational commitment. Examples include "Blind Massage," a relaxing experience provided by visually impaired masseuses; "Mandala Art," a meditative practice utilizing art for relaxation and emotional awareness; and "Kohrinka 'Flowers of Light'," a flower arranging activity that encourages deep contemplation of nature and fosters mindfulness.
