Bangkok: The Mass Rapid Transit Authority of Thailand (MRTA) is urgently addressing the electrical short circuit that occurred on the MRT Blue Line. The incident has led to a temporary closure of the MRT Blue Line between Bang O and Kamphaeng Phet stations, and the MRT Purple Line between Bang Son and Tao Poon stations.
According to Thai News Agency, the MRTA has announced the closures following the short circuit on the MRT Blue Line, also known as the Chaloem Ratchamongkhon Line. To mitigate the disruption, the MRTA has coordinated with the Bangkok Mass Transit Authority (BMTA) to provide bus services along the affected routes. Three buses are operating from Suan Chatuchak and Tao Poon stations to Bang Phlat station, and two buses are servicing the route between Bang Son and Tao Poon stations, which serves as a connecting point.
MRTA personnel, along with related agencies, are currently investigating the incident to ensure that service can be restored as quickly and safely as possible. The authority emphasizes its commitment to resolving the issue and minimizing inconvenience to passengers.
