Motorcycle Thief Gang Arrested in Pattaya, CCTV Footage Key to Capture

Pattaya: Police in Pattaya have successfully apprehended a motorcycle thief gang, thanks to clear CCTV footage that captured the theft in action. Among the suspects is an individual with a notable history of repeated offenses.

According to Thai News Agency, the incident took place on February 13, 2025, when a tourist's motorcycle was stolen from the side of Pattaya Beach Road, Soi 12. The local police, led by Pol. Col. Nawin Thirawit, Superintendent of Pattaya City Police Station, launched an investigation which included reviewing CCTV footage that identified the suspects and their location.

The operation led to the arrest of 34-year-old Mr. Phongphat, also known as Mr. Frame, and 28-year-old Mr. Narathip, known as Mr. Non. They were apprehended along with a blue motorcycle, which served as key evidence, at Soi Khao Talo 14 in the Nongprue Subdistrict, Bang Lamung District, Chonburi Province.

Mr. Frame is no stranger to law enforcement, having been arrested three times previously: first on October 9, 2024, then again on October 29, 2024, and most recently on February 21, 2025. Despite these arrests, Mr. Frame continued his criminal activities.

The police have taken both suspects along with the evidence to investigators to initiate legal proceedings. Authorities are also working to determine whether there are additional accomplices involved in the thefts.
