Mother Appeals for Justice After 14-Year-Old Attacked and Left Unconscious in Nonthaburi Province.

Bang Yai: The mother of a 14-year-old child has raised concerns over the slow progress in a violent attack case involving her child, who was threatened with a gun and beaten until unconscious by a group of teenage boys. The incident occurred a month ago, and despite filing a complaint, the case has seen little advancement, leaving the perpetrators unrepentant. According to Thai News Agency, the attack took place on October 23rd in front of Soi Bang Khu Lat Floating Market, Bang Yai District, Nonthaburi Province. Mr. A and Mr. B, aged 16 and 14 respectively, were ambushed by 13 teenagers on 10 motorcycles. Armed with knives and guns, the assailants chased and attacked them. Mr. A managed to escape to a convenience store, while Mr. B was caught, beaten, and left unconscious. The parents of the victims reported the incident on October 25th, seeking assistance from Mr. Pramet Chaiphacharakulpong, founder of the 'Dr. Kaew Can Help' page, after seeing no progress in the case. Meanwhile, the assailants continued t o mock and provoke the injured parties online. A 16-year-old student, Mr. C, confessed to being part of the group that attacked Mr. A and Mr. B. He claimed that Mr. A had provoked them first, leading to the confrontation. Mr. C admitted to carrying a knife but denied the presence of a gun, alleging that it belonged to Mr. B, who had threatened to take responsibility for his rival. Mr. C further explained that his actions were spurred by previous altercations with Mr. Sun and his group at school. The conflict was rooted in social media challenges and territorial disputes, with Mr. Sun being a local of the Bang Khu Lat Market area. Recently, the parents of the involved youths facilitated a meeting at the Bang Maenam Police Station to negotiate a settlement. Both parties acknowledged their roles in the incident and expressed a willingness to resolve their differences. The families agreed to oversee their children's behavior to prevent future incidents. Pol. Col. Thasakorn Konthong, Superintendent of Bang Mae Nang Police Station, emphasized that legal proceedings will follow. The investigation will focus on identifying the ownership of the weapons involved and determining if any adults were complicit. Investigators will summon both parties for questioning and file charges based on the findings.
